A reminder for your next move

Use your planned stop times to follow the day. Notification controls are in the Home screen’s Account Menu.

Time to Move reminders can prompt you when a scheduled stay ends. Set them up in Itinee and allow Android notifications, then check that your trip dates and times match your plans.

1. Turn On Push Move Alerts in Itinee

Start from the Android app’s Home screen. If the initial notification prompt appears, Enable Move Alerts provides another way to begin setup.

  1. Open the Account Menu at the top left of Home.
  2. Choose Push Alert Settings to open Move Alert Settings.
  3. Turn on Push Move Alerts and allow Android notifications if asked.
  4. Return to the settings dialog and check for Enabled for this device.

2. Check Android’s Notification Permission

Itinee’s setting and Android’s permission both matter. If you previously blocked permission, open your phone’s Settings and find Itinee under app notifications. Allow notifications for Itinee and review the Time to move alerts category if your phone shows notification categories. Menu names vary between Android versions and phone manufacturers.

3. Understand When a Reminder Is Due

Reminders follow your itinerary’s planned stop times and stay durations. They are intended for the end of a scheduled stay, when it is time to head towards the next stop. They do not detect your physical location or provide a guaranteed ten-minute advance warning. Check your trip’s dates and time zone when travelling, and review the timeline after changing your plan.

4. Check a Missing or Silent Reminder

Notification permission alone does not guarantee that a reminder will arrive. Connectivity, device restrictions and service processing can affect delivery.

  1. Confirm Push Move Alerts is enabled for this device and that the trip’s scheduled date and time are correct.
  2. Check Android’s notification permission for Itinee, including whether its alerts are silent or hidden.
  3. Review Do Not Disturb and any battery or background-activity restrictions using your phone manufacturer’s guidance.
  4. Reconnect to the internet and reopen Itinee. If reminders still do not arrive, contact Itinee Help with your phone model, Android version and the affected trip time.

5. Mute Move Alerts on This Device

Return to Home, open Account Menu, choose Push Alert Settings and turn off Push Move Alerts. A successful change is shown as Disabled (Muted). Check the setting separately on each device you use. You can still open your itinerary and follow its timeline without relying on push reminders.

Pro Traveler Strategy

Open your itinerary before heading out and review the day’s times. Keep the timeline available as your reference if connectivity is poor or a reminder is delayed.

Key Takeaways

  • Home → Account Menu → Push Alert Settings contains the Push Move Alerts switch.
  • Allow notifications in Android as well as enabling them in Itinee.
  • Reminders use planned stay-end times, rather than GPS location.
  • Connectivity and device settings can affect delivery; use the timeline as a backup.
